Migraine has been defined as a severe recurring vascular headache that occurs more frequently in women than men. It is a neurological syndrome characterized by altered bodily perceptions, painful headaches and nausea. It is also defined as a severe with disabling headache usually affecting only one side of the head and often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, photophobia and visual disturbances.
It is a throbbing or pounding headache, usually one sided, and characterized by vertigo, nausea, vomiting, and in some cases, scintillating light sensations (called an aura) before an attack.
It is a severe headache that has a tendency to reoccur when blood vessels and the head and neck spasm, restricting the blood flow to the brain.
